Ordinarily I am very excited to see people at Northern Chagigah, this year I cannot wait to see real people, in person after what feels like forever!
I have been speaking to many of you about what this year’s gathering should look like and what you have been missing. What I am hearing is you want to be together, to catch up and to socialise just as much as you want some structure. In response our outline planning involves fewer sessions in each slot, one Shabbat service altogether, lots more music, longer free time and less early morning and late evening options.
We have the possibility of zooming some sessions to include those people who aren’t quite ready to be physically together.
What will it look like?
We don’t know what, if any, covid measures we are mandated to have by November. What we do know is that we have a social responsibility to each other and want everyone who can come to feel comfortable. Our expected expectations are detailed on the event website and we will, nearer to the time, send everyone who has booked our covid policy for the weekend.
