I am writing to tell you what Community Security Trust is doing to protect our community at this difficult time, and how you and your family can help.

As Israel continues to be attacked by Hamas, and to defend its citizens - Jewish and non-Jewish - as best it can, we wanted to inform you of recent developments that might affect you.

Naomi Goldman has recently been appointed as the community’s Jewish Education Outreach Officer, as part of an initiative being funded by Educating For Impact (EFI).

For those of you who were unable to attend our online LJRC AGM on Sunday, 25th April, here are the highlights:

Following Rabbi Paul's announcement of his retirement due to ill health, members of Sinai contributed to a collection to dedicate two trees in his and Katrin's names, to be planted in the new Woodland Meadow at Brodetsky Primary School. These gifts have been "presented" to Rabbi Paul and Katrin by way of a video celebrating Rabbi Paul's gifts of new liturgical music to Sinai, along with many personal messages and the prayer for those embarking on a journey "direct our footsteps towards peace and lead us to our desired destination - to life, joy and peace".

You may have noticed some changes to the weekly enewsletter over the past year. The most significant change is that we now have a team of editors, a group of Sinai members who take turns to edit the newsletter. Each brings her or his own style though there are some stylistic rules to which all comply.
